Sixteen teams went in, six matches decided it, and only four are walking out of Group A with a direct finals spot. That’s the math the Quarter-Finals run on now — every fight and every placement point carries real weight, and Group A made that obvious from the opening match.
iQOO Revenant Xspark Set the Pace
There wasn’t much of a contest at the top. iQOO Revenant Xspark finished first with 87 points, and 62 of those came from eliminations alone — a number that’s hard to argue with. They weren’t just winning fights, they were winning them constantly, match after match, and nobody in the group found an answer for it.
The Chase for Second
iQOO 8Bit locked down second with 70 points, backed by two Chicken Dinners. That’s a different formula than Xspark’s — less about piling up kills, more about closing out matches when it counted. Both approaches worked, which says something about how open this stage still is.
Team Aerowolf took third at 59 points, and theirs was the quietest run of the top three. No single explosive game, just steady scoring across all six matches. In a group this stacked, that kind of consistency is exactly what keeps a team in direct-qualification range instead of dropping into the semis grind.
The Cutoff Line
iQOO Reckoning finished fourth at 54 points, just barely inside the direct-to-finals cutoff. True Rippers landed fifth with 40 points, close enough that a couple of different placement rolls could easily have flipped their positions. That’s the middle of this table in a sentence — nothing separated by much, and the standings could’ve read differently with one bad rotation somewhere.
What the Standings Mean Going Forward
Group A’s math is simple from here: the top 4 move straight into the Grand Finals, and the other 12 teams get funneled into the semis for one more shot. Xspark, 8Bit, Aerowolf, and Reckoning are through. Everyone else in the group, including True Rippers, has to go earn it again.
That’s the part worth sitting with. A team can play a genuinely strong group stage — like True Rippers did — and still end up needing to fight through another full round before the finals. Nothing here is locked in until it’s locked in.
Two Groups Down, More to Come
With Group A wrapped, the picture for who’s actually finals-bound is starting to take shape, but it’s still early. iQOO Revenant Xspark’s 87-point run is the number every other group is going to be measured against for now, at least until someone in Group B, C, or D matches it. Given how tight most of these lobbies have been running, that’s not a given.
